Monolayer h-BN exhibits enhanced crystalline quality and surface morphology, as a result of HTA treatment. First-principles calculations guide our demonstration that h-BN facilitates lateral Al atom migration, reducing the surface migration barrier to below 0.14 eV and accelerating AlN film coalescence. Analysis reveals that the HTA-fabricated h-BN material successfully decreases dislocation density and alleviates substantial strain within the AlN epilayer. The 290 nm DUV-LED fabricated with a low-stress, high-quality AlN film on a HTA h-BN substrate demonstrates an 80% increase in luminescence compared to devices without h-BN, while maintaining good reliability with minimal wavelength shift under high current. h-BN's newly discovered applications within III-nitride systems open doors for the advancement of DUV optoelectronic devices on large, mismatched heterogeneous substrates.

Before beginning clinical practice, ambulatory care registered nurses and health professions students frequently receive limited instruction in interprofessional care. This article assesses a simulation-enhanced interprofessional education experience (Sim-IPE) designed for ambulatory care registered nurses and health professions students, providing a program evaluation. The Sim-IPE experience was evaluated through an 11-item electronic post-Sim-IPE survey designed to collect perceptions. From the vast majority of responses, it was apparent that the Sim-IPE encouraged learning about the different roles of others, was well-suited for the participants' skill sets and knowledge level, and supplied enough information. Participants confirmed their feeling of support and their determination to utilize their learning within a clinical area. Positive features of the Sim-IPE, along with necessary improvements and proposals for its future, were extracted from the open-ended survey responses. The Sim-IPE program evaluation process was structured by the National League for Nursing's Jeffries Simulation Theory. A review of the program revealed positive aspects and areas needing improvement in subsequent interprofessional education initiatives.
